Lecrae was born on the 9th of October, 1979 in Houston, Texas, USA, and was raised by his mother. Lecrae didn’t had all that glorious childhood, as he was raised in a poor neighborhood, which made him a victim of child molestation and drug abuse amongst others.
For his education, Lecrae attended and graduated from the University of North Texas where he graduated with a degree in Applied Arts and Science. He also Attended Middle Tennessee State University, briefly.
